Superintendent Kim Dae Joong was born in Gokseong, South Jeolla province in 1961 and since 1995 Kim was the 5th, 6th and the 7th member of the Mokpo City Council. From 2004 to 2011, Kim was the Chairman of the board for Korea Institute for Balanced Development in the Southwest Region and was the Director for Mokpo Youth Center. Kim is currently the Superintendent for the Jeollanamdo Office of Education.
