William G. Harris serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Test Publishers (ATP), the leading international trade organization for the assessment community with regional divisions in Europe, Asia, India, and the Middle East. William holds a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, an MBA from Duke University and an Honorary Doctorate from Excelsior College for his work on computerized online assessments and reporting. William is a renowned advocate for the assessment industry. His interest focuses on advancing non-traditional solutions to address the unfinished learning crisis, on promoting AI-inspired opportunities for all learners, and on digitally transforming learning and assessment in the workplace and school.
A recognized leader in privacy and test security guidance to the global assessment community, William is the former chair of the US delegation to the ISO 10667 (2011) on workplace assessment services and a recent expert to the latest ISO 10667 version (2020).
