Baela Raza Jamil, CEO of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) centre for education and consciousness is a public policy specialist, innovator and activist. Baela is actively engaged with COVID19 response at the local, provincial, national and global levels with close collaboration with the Government on “TeleSchool” (PTV) and digital learning initiatives from a gendered, life skills and inclusive perpective. Her organization has contributed over 15 learning segments to the nationwide TeleSchool since April 2020. She leads the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) Pakistan, a citizens’ accountability learning initiative, Second Chance Program for Girls in Education & Skilling Siyani Sahelian and is the founder of the Children’s Literature Festival. She served as the Technical Adviser to the Federal Ministry of Education, and leads early years, K-12, and multiple digital learning and research initiatives. She is a leader on Generation Unlimited working with UNICEF in Pakistan and is on the board of the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA); Advisory Committee on Education & National Steering Committee ECD Ministry of Planning, Development, and ILM Association an indsutry Ed Tech Alliance. Baela is the Commissioner of the Education Commission; Education Commission Asia; Advisory Board Global Business Coalition for Education (GBC Ed); Chairperson SDG 4.2.1 Task force Global Alliance to Monitor Learning, UIS; and founding Member People’s Action for Learning Network.
