  • Wayne Holmes

    Researcher of learning sciences, innovation, AI and education

    Wayne's research interests are in the learning sciences and learning innovations, focused on Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED): the application of AI to both enhance and further understand learning, and the ethical and social implications of AI applied in educational contexts. He has co-authored three books on AIED (including Artificial Intelligence in Education. Promise and Implications for Teaching and Learning.), he leads the UK Parliament’s All Party Parliamentary Group on AI’s Education Taskforce, and consults on AIED for the Portuguese Ministry of Education, the Asia European Foundation, and UNESCO (including leading UNESCO’s Policy Guidelines for AI in Education). He has also been invited to speak about AIED at international events in Brazil, China, Germany, Greece, Japan, Oman, Spain, and the US.
